My Yoga Journey

Never thought in my mind that I will love with yoga so much.

In the beginning  I only practice because I am not comfortable with my back pain.  I just moved  to Manado, North Sulawesi in 2010 and I am searching for yoga teacher around Manado so I can practice yoga in private.
But unfortunately, there is none yoga teacher here :D, then I searched in google and found www.yoga journal.com.

I began to practice from that website for Yoga Morning Sequence etc almost every day.  When the kids were in school holiday and we stayed in Jakarta, I went to some yoga class in Kemang and Kebayoran.

In 2012, I invited my yoga teacher in Jakarta to come to Manado and held Yoga Workshop for 3 days, and almost all participants are my friends, not many only around 15 persons, but still I can't find somebody who love yoga as much as I do.  So I continued to practice from video yoga in some of yoga website.

In the middle of 2014, my best friend asks me to teach her about yoga, we practiced twice a week since then, but then she stopped because she's busy.  I met with one of mommy from Keira's friend and she told me that she joined yoga in one of Spa and told me that all that poses are the same every time she joined the class, so I told her about my yoga practice and after that she asked me to teach yoga for her and her friend.

I am not too confident about that, so I took a 3 days course for Pre TT Kids Yoga, Pre TT Prenatal Yoga and Acro Yoga in last October. After that I accepted to teach yoga for her and her friend Lina without charge.  I taught them in Gym's Hotel area, and some of Gym members are also interested, totally I have around 4-7 persons in class during my class. And in January 2015, I started to open Yoga Class for regular in the morning, I surprised with all the excitement participants, totally around 14 persons that time and began to open Evening Class and private too.

My yoga improvement got help from Instagram Yoga Challenge, it helped me a lot, to learn and get motivated from others IG Family that I saw all the progress from day to day.  Until now I still joined the challenge, to improve all weakness (back bend, inversions and arm) and planning to join 200 hrs International Yoga Teacher Training in April 2015.

Feels good to share about yoga, beside healthy body, I am happy to see my members who are able to try something new about yoga poses and their happy face after doing yoga class.
